Yeah, I’m one of them that you cant accuse for posting interesting comments. But at least I’m not a bot. Spam from bots sucks hard. I usually get 100-150 spam comments from bots every day.

It does take forever to sift through all the junk and only post the relevant comments but then again you don’t want to lose your devoted followers. Tricky decision but the spammers are SO annoying so don’t really blame you!

I didn’t realize in my comment above that the url I typed in (spam dot com) would become live! You think people would realize that by spamming for links you are just forcing people to remove the do follow links that we all benefit from.

very nice idea of avoid spamming on blogs or website and we must have to take some action against this spamming…….

we cn do it by putting captcha or security quastion…

I once read this blog that talked about spam. The blogger proceeded to comment on sending back the spam to their owners/posters via email. Would have been payback time yes? A good idea but only if the emails used by these spammers aren’t fakes or hijacked.

Yeah everyday more and more spam get in. Well not really since I have Akismet on. But the time it takes to go through all that junk just in case of a false positive, ughhh. I noticed this especially ever since I made the blog doFollow. Glad Akismet is there to prevent it.

Putting up captcha is not a good option as those spammers have scripts that easily manage to break the captcha code. Akismet is fine and works best.
