After 4 long months of knowing that i was to be made redundant, last week it finally happened. I recieved an update phone call from the stupid CIO of the company (I wish to nominate said SIO as the worst manager in the history of everything btw) and he said, “it’s happening today”. Thanks for the kind words, you twat.

So my last day at the company i had been at for the last 7 years was Friday the 5th of February 2010. I was sad to leave but also a teeny bit excited. I have a huge offline business venture that had been not getting enough of my time, and also I really want to put a whole lot more effort into my IM work.

The last couple of months have actually been rather shit for me. I have lost my house, my job and finally my girlfriend of 5 years decided to leave me too. Woe is me. My new house has no internet and looks like it wont be getting any very soon (out of ports at the exchange gah!) so i have moved my PC into the office space above the warehouse where my offline business is! Super fast internet and a whole office to my self! check the pics! (click to embiggen)

It’s a great spot and i’m hoping that it will keep me in the working frame of mind as i really struggle to work from home. (Massive layabout, smelly dog, dindgy computer room).

So! Big changes for me! No job, new office, room full of boxes so i can hardly get to my bed, no girlfriend, big fat redundancy check. Hmmm. I hope to keep this blog more updated as i start my new journey!

Yep, how sad. It didnt even really feel like a holiday tbh. Wake up, eat some ham, get drunk, eat cheese. Repeat for 14 days. I guess I need to get back into work mode, little work was done at all over the last couple of weeks and I am still in super lazy ham overdose mode. Luckily for me I have many tools that automate a lot of the super boring stuff like bookmarking and backlinking etc. So really in order to get off my arse and do some stuff doesnt actually take all that much work. So i guess i should do that now.

Laterz.

So it seems like i just dont have the work ethic to keep posting hah. and for the 50 odd people a day that visit the site and the 20 odd people reading this via RSS, i do appologize.

However, i think i’m about to get made redundant from my day job, so soon will have more time for this (and my millions of others) blog.

Hi there! Well it has been quite a while since i last updated the blog. I have been pretty busy at my day job for a few weeks so its kind of interfearing with IM hah. stupid day jobs! I guess it’s not all bad at the day job at the moment tho, they seems to have hired me to be a social media consultant of sorts, well, when i say hire i mean they have asked me to do all this for nothing! So obviously i’m not telling them everything! Not that a bunch of advertising jocks know what im talking about, when i say social media the only thing they can think of is facebook.  So im working on developing a framework for social seeding of advertising campaigns and discovering a lot of interesting things along the way that i can easily transfer into mu IM adventures. Rad.

Anyway i am still planning on a few posts about CPA and getting started with that. Also teaching myself about a very sneaky unknown feature of google adwords that I found out from a very successful marketer. So i might reveal something about that in the coming weeks too.

In the meantime i have been working away on some squidoo lenses and discovering some new techniques to get them to rank higher, driving trffic thru a series of linkwheels and blog farms, seriously getting to work on a few new info products for CB, i have also finally found a very good writer that is keen for some ongoing work which is awesome as they are hard to come by!

My review blogs are still paying my rent which is nice. Hops have dropped a little as i havent been maintaing them enough so i need to work on them to get them back up to speed.

I was talking about creating a few blogs/sites to use as a key to getting accepted to various CPA networks. Well i have created 3 blogs in 3 different niches. I will still be keeping these secret (:P) until they are a bit more established and i have used them for what i want.

I have outsourced some content creation for all 3 blogs as i don’t have time to update my now 10 or so blogs (wtf too many blogs) by myself.

Stay tuned for more on this soon. I’m starting to get busy again at my day job, plus ive started back at Mandarin classes two nights a week. Funny story, work have approaced me to advise them on social media and internet marketing strageties. Hah. This is an advertising agency you would of thought they would have a social media expert already!? No. You would be surprised. Anway, that is a whole other post.

Firstly, apologies to anyone that reads my blog for the lack of updates. Kind of haven’t been in the writing mood lately for some reason, this doesn’t mean that i stopped doing stuff tho!

Secondly, with my review blog plugging away nicely all by itself  one thing i have decided to embark on with a bit more enthusiasm is CPA promotions. Over the next few months i hope to fully establish myself as a fully qualified CPA expert huhu. I will go through the sign up process with a few more networks and report back with my experiences and any tips for anyone out there in my current situation.

So stay tuned for the next update! Which will be i dont know when. Maybe in a week! Who knows!?
